The history of Hinkley Lighting stands out as one of the most interesting of all lighting manufacturers. It all started as a small, family owned, company founded by Phil R. Hinkley ub 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio and only sold outdoor
fixtures. During World War II, Hinkley Lighting manufactured airplane parts for the United States war effort. After the war, “tract housing” boomed and in the 1980’s Hinkley Lighting established Hinkley Landscape Lighting.
Hinkley acquired luxury lighting company, Fredrick Ramond, and in 2012 Hinkley Lighting was awarded “Best of Show 2012” from Dallas Market Center and featured on an episode of “Extreme Home Makeover”.
Thanks to this productive history, Hinkley Lighting has become one of the leaders of lighting manufacturers. Though their first and most impressive selection of lighting is outdoor lighting,
Hinkley now offers a great selection of chandeliers, pendants, wall and ceiling fixtures, and bathroom, kitchen and landscape lighting.
Hinkley Lighting combines practicality with unique designs ranging from the contemporary, to the classic, to the tropical and more.
Hinkley Lighting is also one of the most environmentally aware companies in the lighting industry, with energy efficient designs for a lowered eco-impact, and is involved with many charities such as The United Way, Habitat for Humanity
and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Hinkley Lighting is dedicated to their business, their customers, and their community.
