All ceramic fixtures come standard in Bisque - an unfinished, paintable surface. Because Bisque is porous, we recommend that you seal the unfinished Bisque surface with paint or lacquer. Bisque is painted using the same paints as used to paint drywall or plaster. It is best that you first apply a primer to seal the Bisque surface. Then, using a spray gun or a clean, high-quality brush, apply two to three coats of flat, satin or semi-gloss water-base paint made for drywall or plaster. You may also want to use stenciling, sponging, or other creative techniques to customize your fixture.

Lustrous glazes add a beautiful richness to any fixture. More than just a coat of color — a glaze is a highly durable finish, created by kiln firing colored glass onto the Bisque surface at a temperature approaching 1900° F. The result is a glass-like surface with a visual depth impossible to achieve any other way. Non-Bisque finishes will incur a 25% restocking charge for returns.

Using multiple layers of paint and special decorating techniques, each fixture is hand painted by artisans to achieve realistic faux metal, marble and other beautiful materials. Or, if you choose, you can specify any standard Benjamin Moore color and they will apply a smooth, high-quality, solid-color painted finish (code: SOCO). Exterior of all fixtures is lacquered for durability. Interior of all fixtures is Bisque (white). Every fixture can also be ordered in unfinished Bisque (BIS) which is paintable, so the fixture can be custom painted or simply painted the same color as the wall to add beautiful ambient light to complement a theme or add to a décor. Non-Bisque finishes will incur a 25% restocking charge for returns.

Each fixture to be finished in one of the sensational textured faux finishes is first hard carved or hammered in the soft, unfired clay surface. Then, using multiple layers of paint and special decorating techniques, each fixture is hand painted by artisans to create the realistic look of
textured travertine marble, slate or hammered metal. Exterior of all fixtures is lacquered for durability. Interior of all fixtures is Bisque (white). Non-Bisque finishes will incur a 25% restocking charge for returns.
